problem playing DVD in Windows Media Player

problem playing DVD in Windows Media Player - 09-24-2006, 12:11 AM

Hi Guys!
I have problem wth my combo drive. when ever i try to play dvd in Windows media player (WMP), there will be no picture only dark or black screen with sound. i also tried in jet audio but the result was same. i am using WMP v 10 and jet audio v 5. plz help me or suggest anyother software?

Thanks a lot Sir, i'll try to play DVD in power dvd. but what abt the problem which i mention above. is it hardware problem or software. if it is software problem, is there any way to fix. any how thanks a lot for stoping on my thread and for your advise. THANKS A LOT

It could be either, I suggest you try out power DVD first and post if it works or not. If it doesn't work it is possible that it is a hardware problem.

Sound like you may be missing a couple of codecs mate.
jump over too
free-codecs.com
also get a copy of g-spot it will tell you what codec you need for which ever type of movie your trying to watch.

Try powerDVD, it's the best dvd player i think. I don't have problems using it
