Mac OS X Leopard - 11-17-2007, 10:28 AM

Is any using Leopard? I am thinking of updating my Mac Mini and iBook, but before hand was wondering if anyone has had an experience.

Not yet, but I heard the Bootcamp is supported. I usually wait untill the first (few) updates.

Got it running on my PM G5 and MBP.
Some apps refuse to work under OS X 10.5.(1) if you....

* Install from a diskimage copy made with Toast or a burn app.
* upgrade from 10.4

It's better to backup all your files and make a clean fresh install.
But first you need to reformat the HD under Tiger after the backup.
then reformat again with the Leopard install DVD.
Install a fresh OS X 10.5

After that ... Leopard will run like a train. (depends on the hardware of course)

Yeah, it seems that not all the Adobe products are made ready to run on Apple new OS.
We will have to wait for Adobe to update their CS apps.

I just did the update install on my MacBook and it runs great. No problems with InDesign CS3 either. I didn't have to re-enter my Toast serial number though.

Adobe is doing a point release in December that will fix known issues with Leopard. Adobe had plenty of time to fix these things before but didn't take action.

I have Leopard on my PBG4 and it runs great. I had to "hack" iMovie '08 to get it to work on non-intel but that's a different story. No problems with Leopard at all. It's already on 10.5.1 so it's probably pretty safe to upgrade (:

I did a fresh install.

yeah leopard is pretty neat, not a big change from last osx ver. the cover flow view is pretty cool, time machine is ok. as far as the cs3 appz some work, some dont. photoshop, dreamweaver, and illustrator seem fine. i havent had many problems.
