Password Requests - 09-11-2007, 05:58 PM

(Note: sorry for posting this in the Password Requests section...I just wanted to get this to the correct folks).

Am I the only one with this problem?

The folks running this board set up rules that are easy to follow and make sense. But..without fail, losers will find ways around the rules.

I have noticed an ugly trend of "lurkers" sending Private Messages directly to password requesters asking for you to "hook them up" once you get a response. Most of these folks don't have the necessary 30 posts, don't participate any place else, and send more PM's requesint passwords than they could post threads on the board (breaking more rules).

I make requests when I need help...and very rarely. And..I do my best to follow the rules. But...these jerks ruin it for me, you, and everyone else.

This is annoying....every time I make a password request, I immediately get a PM from some jerk asking me to "help him out" with the password once I get it. AND..without fail the dude has virtually no posts on the forum or any type of participation elsewhere.

Am I the only person that is getting sick of these guys? Has this happened to anyone else?

There is a simple solution to that.

Any PM such as this, or any rule breaking you see and we (The mods and sentinels) might have missed just send it to one of our PM boxes.

I don't mind opening my PM box and seeing even 100's of messages of such reports.

You can also PM therock, Arry, Ben turpin

Minerva.

Minerva is right.. Tell us and the person who sent the PM will be removed from the site. Registrations are closed for now, so anyone removed cannot re-enter the forum.

Mate, just here to echo the sentiments of my colleagues.
This is something that is completely unacceptable and the type of activity we wish to erradicate from the board.
All that is necessary is to forward the PM on to us and we'll take care of it
Thank you for posting this, I appreciate your reaching out to us with this scourge upon us.

I get along with eveyone except people
