Forum design: Reply+vote button

Hi all,

I would like to propose something to improve the board design. Currently, when I want to rate a thread **and** write a reply I have to do this in two sessions (at least it appears to me so). However, I vote a post as excellent if nice passes has been posted and I've tried those passes. In this case I'll allways write a reply as well - since I was given working passes to excellent sites. However, sometimes I forget to rate the tread as well; so because I think that this applies to many "consumers" of passes I propose to

1. shift the rate this tread combo box closer to the submit reply button and

2. join the funtion of the "go" buttom with this of the "submit reply" button.

This has the advantage that more posts are rated and that unnecessary board traffic is reduced.

What do you think?

You know that you can vote for a thread when you write a reply for a thread...

Hi ******,

I wasn't sure that I could vote when replying and I did'nt found informationen on this topic. However, I don't know what the ratio of replies with and replies without votes. So if many of the other board users perceive it like me than you might have fewer votes because of the location of the rating combo box. Maybe I'm thinking here too complicated but I would like to hear other opinions on this.

Finally, I love this board and appreciate your work very much!
