got another idea

a points system or sort of good behaviour/ bad behaviour mointer

a karma points sytstem. if you will
basically if your bad your karma point would go down, and vis versa if you are good [postive negative idea]
hopeully this would be situated above your status

for example status:Online
Post: 55
Join Date: 01/21/1800

advantages

maybe it would prevent poeple from accessing passes and other things.
would act as a deterent to bad or spam behavour.

not permenant, so members can improve there behavour, and good deeds will be show.
rewards for good members or improved ones.


disadvantages
not sure on who would deal the points out or what level of negative points would get u banned or not be able to acess areas.

As far as I know we had a points system in the past and it got canceled. We still have a system for negative points, though. It's the infraction system, where 10 points is a ban.

so think theres not point then ? thought it might be a good way to let poeple see other members behaviour/attudie?

There's two ways to implement this:
Either everyone can give points (which would give rise to interesting abuse structures) or only staff can give points (which sounds like a lot of extra work). Generally I wouldn't have a problem with staff giving the points, but we'll have to see how it pans out and what the powers that are decide.

i agree it would have to be with staff or members would abbuse the sytem, but i do think it could make people more aware of there behavour, anyway just a idea

well i dont know... i enjoy reading 'unedited' opinions, responses and perspectives of people. members will 'censor' their messages in fear of losing points and etc. i can understand why this would be good too, but i enjoy the free speaking/thinking of these forums

Members can see their own point total as well as a detailed list of their infractions, the date it was issued, the date it expires/d, the reason, who handed out the infraction and on what post it was based. It's right there when they open their User CP.
Staff can, of course, see everyones points and infractions.
