Any way to avoid inactive member warning while going away? -

Hi,
I have noticed that when I am unable to post on this forum for a couple of weeks, I get a warning about being inactive for too long when I first log on after such a period.
Usually, this is caused by being away on vacation, with no computer access. A couple of months ago, my home computer broke, and I was without internet access for 17 days. I tried to log in from my work computer, after work hours. Unfortunately security-forum.net is blocked. I then tried through two anonymizing proxy web sites. But then, although I could get to the home page, I was still unable to login for reasons I don't understand. It was like the site would not accept my login, but without sending any error message.
Needless to say I was greeted by the inactive member warning when I came back. I would certainly hate to be banned because of long vacation or computer breakdown.
What can I do about this situation? Also, does anybody know why login doesn't seem to work through an anonymous proxy (such as [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
don't worry, the warning bot is an automated script intended to catch lurkers - if you don't login it will automatically assume you are on vacation. Just make sure that once you get back from your vacation, you take the time to participate here and you should be fine. Also note that should an error be made (e.g. you were on vacation, logged in and your computer broke down immediately afterwards), you can make an Active status request and the staff will do their best to get you the proper status back as soon as possible.
More details can be found here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
About your question with the web proxies: It could be that they block/filter (some) cookies and scripts, which could be the reason you can't access the site through them. I'm not that knowledgeable about that topic though, so I might be wrong there.
