Posting spoofs? - 09-21-2008, 12:38 PM

Do i have to be an active member to post spoofs? Sorry if this issue has already been addressed. I tried the search engine with no luck.

Not sure kneegrow. If you access to the following link, you can post them there. Otherwise I guess you have no access to it yet.

One suggestion is to make sure they're your own spoofs, not stuff that's been posted ad infinitum all over the web.
If you have something new to share, cool.
If it's someone elses work, it's probably already been posted here.
If the latter is the case, better to keep it to yourself as many here (including me), would consider it leeching, something that leaves a scar forever.

I get along with eveyone except people

I don't check the spoofs that often to be honest, but what I know about them is that posting spoofs you found elsewhere is allowed within the rules in spite of posting passes you found somewhere else.

Arry's words are very true however, that posting ones that are already posted here before shows of poor participation; so if you have/found one, plz make sure it's not posted before here after which you can feel free to post.

Non-Active members can't access the backdoor / spoofs forum as it's something I found out as mod. Someone moved his spoofs from the active status forum and he could no longer access them. However, if spoofs are posted in the active status request and subsequently moved to the correct forum, that poster / member will get the credit.

Spoofs aren't in the rules except with a reference in Rule #12 - NO OUTSIDE LINKS TO PASSES This rule does not apply to posting pictures or movies in the Candy Shop and / or Video Vault, and only applies to passes, backdoors and spoofs.

Yeah, that's for not posting the links in rapidshare files or something.
I do remember this topic being discussed before (in a thread or chatbox) and the conclusion was that you are allowed to post them no matter where or how you find them. I also don't recall ever as staff to see them checked on being leeched.

Again, just spend a few minutes to make sure they're not posted here already.
