When trying to download from Rapidshare I keep getting an error message that I am currently downloading a file, and to wait until the download is through. I am not downloading. Can anyone help?

try clearing your cookies, it can some times be something so simple, if not then restart your comp and if the problem continues you can always contact rapidshare

It happens sometimes... can be because someone in your region is downloading

Just wait it out or get your own account

I have found it well worth the cost of a premium account. then you can have multiple downloads.

Hi skyhull, one of the bad points about [RS] is it's inability to read through a public proxy which certain ISP's have a tendency to use, as such, anyone with the same common proxy would invariably give you the error you describe if trying to d/l from [RS] at the same time.

Your system complaints about that I am already downloading files or that I have already downloaded too much. But I did not download anything! Whats wrong there?

Our system checks your IP-address in order to count the downloads. If you are getting this message and you really did not download anything, then you are using a proxy-server, which is used by other people as well. Even if you have no proxy-server set up in your configuration, there are many providers who force a transparent proxy-servers between you and the net. If you do not believe us, go to other pages telling you your IP-address (for example myIPaddress.com: What is my IP address? How do I find my IP address?.) But what can you do? You have to disable this proxy-server. If you are not able to disable the proxy-server, the only solution IS a Premium-account. Premium-users are recognized by cookies, not by IP-address. Unfortunately we cannot disable our IP-check, else people would download so much that we would have to close down this service completely. I hope you understand our situation in this matter.
My advice is to try a different proxy Public Proxy Servers Page 1 you may find one there as I did some time ago.
