i'll explain why i voted
no..
it's not that i think this is a bad idea, it's just that i think it would create an environment where pure volume gets rewarded and i personally don't think this would be beneficial to the forum. The current system rewards quality and consistency and i think this is what makes this one of the best cracker/hacker/security forums out there.

Disclaimer: I wouldn't do this myself but just imagine this scenario..
i am a web programmer, i presume most of the people using this forum are also (or at least have some coding knowledge), lets say i code a script to periodically (say once every 10 minutes) create a post that links to a directory of pics i have hosted somewhere (the remote host has many directories, the script chooses a different one each time).
now imagine 100 members doing this in order to become the 'best monthly contributing member'..
the forum is gonna become bloated with a whole load of low quality crap in no time, ok i know admins can ban an account for doing this, but thats all extra work for you guys too, also someone has to clean up the mess, thats more work again.
like i said in the disclaimer, i would never do this kind of thing, this is just an example of how the quality of forums can decline when members are 'encouraged' to increase volume for rewards. |

another point..
someone posts a really good tutorial, another person uploads 100 anon proxies, 1 more person posts links to 500 great pics. which of the 3 is the 'best contributing member' ?
again i'm not saying that your idea is bad, just that it is possibly open to misinterpretation
