i'll explain why i voted no..

it's not that i think this is a bad idea, it's just that i think it would create an environment where pure volume gets rewarded and i personally don't think this would be beneficial to the forum. The current system rewards quality and consistency and i think this is what makes this one of the best cracker/hacker/security forums out there.

someone posts a really good tutorial, another person uploads 100 anon proxies, 1 more person posts links to 500 great pics. which of the 3 is the 'best contributing member' ?

again i'm not saying that your idea is bad, just that it is possibly open to misinterpretation

I voted not sure cause of 3shotz argument.
He has a good point, but then again the idea if rewarding someone's effort also is worth mentioning.

All i really wanted to say is let's not this forum become a second lawina's.

sorry phil, i guess i misunderstood your post..

when i read "best monthly contributing member" i assumed (incorrectly) that you meant contributions by volume, my mistake

maybe if you had instead worded it "best monthly contribution by a member" i would not have gone off on a dumb rant like i did lmao

yea, i like it, either that or something along the rep points line, where moderators can give members reputation points based on the quantity or quality of there submitted stuff. This way could encourage a bit of competition
