I haven't been at other post forums a lot. What is "adding a thanks mod in vb"? A Mod who makes sure people thank for passes or something?

I think thats not necessary. coz if u want to see how much popular a thread is u can check number of replies. that will give u an idea. and what do u mean by adding a mod ??

Well… that's what I wanted to ask, because right now you can see both the number of posted replies as the amount of views, so I think noumans means something different…

i think noumans is trying to say a BOT like Michelle but not exactly the same. a bot to order crackers' filling requests and members' appreciation messages in an automated way. this bot can also automatically remove filled and got thanked requests, 3 days old but zero replied requests and so on.

Thats not it..

A Mod, is a Modification not a Moderator. Its a little thanks button, just like there is a pm or report but its for thanks. When a person hits it, everyone can see their name as thanking the person for the post.

I dont think its necc. Its a lazy way to thank someone for a post without actually posting

I agree. See also this thread from Robot about it
http://forums.security-forum.net/new...-database.html:
"However if you are still uncomfortable with this you can just thank the people who provide you with them nicely with well thought out replies."

It's actually what this site wants to avoid if I'm right and I tend to agree with that policy.

Thanks for clearing that up RBD.

I don't agree with adding a button it just encourages laziness for all the time it takes to type a wee reply and its not fair to the person who has taken there time to crack the passes in the first place as all they would get is a lot of insincere thanks with no real thought or appreciation going into a reply.

NO if the guy can spend hours even days sometimes weeks cracking sites for you then the leased you can do is spend a couple of seconds or minutes too giving a proper thank you to him.

Read the rules ignorance is no excuse.

I think the thanks button is a great idea, then we wouldn't have all these posts from over a year ago clogging up the pass section. I think less dead thread bumping is more than a good enough reason for the button.
