The German and Dutch courts have shut down the major e-donkey servers, and put in doubt whether emule will continue to be viable. Read this:[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
E-mule is waaaaaaaaaaay too slow anyways. I use Shareaza it pulls from Gnutella1 and Gnutella2 servers....much faster and has just about anything you can think of.
Search for IRC trade rooms....there u find the NEWEST stuff...just be nice and request a file if s.o. got what u want he'll give it to u.but spammers and leechers will get banned pretty fast!
except for that all these programms are spyware IMHO.

I should like to add an addendum to this post,Since the RIAA and MPAA are creating false servers,it is absolutely critical that you use and continously update Peer Guardian to block their ability to snoop on you. This is no longer optional, but a necessity!
Yes, R.I.P. Emule.
We had Year 2007, this 700MB-are-ready-in-10 Days is over.
I mean Downloadtime.
My first Target when i search/leech Files is Rapidshare or other Filehoster.
Searching goes over Google.
No,no tears pops out of my eyes when Emule is gone.

Hitcher
you are right buddy. there are Rapidshare and so many other file hosting services available nowadays. new era is theirs now. and God bless Sergey Brin and Larry Page. long live google...
yea i have found other ways to obtain the media that I need other than using p2p. At my college they have heavily been cracking down on Limewire users, and I have friends who still use it on a consistent basis. Gotta take precaution out here nowadays, never know who's watching.......
I haven't used p2p in such a long time, unless it's for music. Even now I barley use P2P to get music(use torrents and/or uploading sites) But when I do I sometimes use Limewire and carefully look at the files I'm downloading. I used to use edonkey in the past, it was my first p2p program, but it's very obsolete with all of these uploading sites and torrents! I remember maybe a year or two ago, Shareaza never connected to edonkey anyways, it would always be unable to connect.
