Well, times have changed, unfortunately. What gets most people's attention are the graphics of a video game. After that, it's the smooth animation and weapons a person can use. I mean people like to have many options in a video game. To be able to unlock a character and play him or her, to have different suits or body armor, have more abilities as the game progresses, etc... The story nowadays is usually similar to other games so it's become an afterthough. But yeah, I agree with you, I miss those games that are unique and doesn't follow the same pattern as all the other video games. As for my favorite oldie games, I'd have to say Alone in the Dark and Clock Tower. Those were the types of games I liked. I liked having to walk around all over the place and solve mysteries. And then when you see the boss, your ass has to either run away from it or get a weapon to stand a chance against it. I'd be like oh shittttt, gotta run now, low on energy. And then they're going after you and you're thinking where the hell to go to hide. Man those were the days.
