I want CS and got a pirated edition torrent of it. But after I installed it it didn't let me connect to servers for online multiplayer because it said it had an invalid CD key. I also heard it was freeware now. Anyone know if that's true and/or what I should do? Thanks.

I don't think its freeware, but you can probably search for it through steam and they might have it listed for download, and then you can get a working key

steam is the only way to play online on very low ping servers

ask your mom for 20 bucks then ask her to take you to your local game store and buy the game. now thats just if your not 18.

i used to play this game back in the day. pretty addicting.

Just go to the store and buy it for 20 bucks or better yet buy on steam and no it isn't freeware.

Or just pay 5$ plus 5$ shipping for a copy of half life game of the year edition an d get DoD, Blue shift, 1.6, half life, opposing force, and TF classic. Also some really good mods.

Second Step
a) Download v22 Patch (20.48 MB)

b) Install the v22 Patch on the Valve folder (C:\Program files\Valve\) or where you installed cs16full_v4+zbot.exe
