2k series has usually been more fun and has had the more natural controls. I have yet to play either, but With the 2k series I always feel like a someone who can play basketball anyway I want rather then live's limited "you play like the pros do" version. if that makes anysense.

It's always been easier as a pick up and play game imo

I played both the demos live feels looser even like the look better 2k was stiff an didn't look as good as live to me.

personally, i like 2k8 1000x better than live 08. i used to be a big live fan until nba 2k7 came out and i got hooked to the 2k series

I don't really care that much about looks more about Gameplay and feel.

If NBA Live was still as great as it was back in the days (2000-04), then I'd say Live 08. Thing is, I played both games for the PS3 and 360. And I have to say that NBA 2K8 kicks NBA Live's ass in terms of graphics, gameplay, and execution.

NBA Live 08's moves are getting a little too fancy or complicated. There's just so many extra things I don't need. Playing the game already feels realistic to me. So I don't need so many of the "player's own moves" and last minute shot changes.

With 2K8, the controller is much easier to use, the gameplay is smoother, and the graphics are much better. Although I will say this for 2K8; the arenas look better on the PS3 while the players close-up look better on the 360. Players from a distance are about even for both consoles.

So the title goes to NBA2K8. NBA 2K and Co. wins....again.

Thanks for the info I'm getting tired of Live 06' and need a new Basketball game. Hopefully the fonts aren't totally screwed like 06 half the time you can't tell if your leading once you get around 60 points could be a 6 could be an 8, I sure hope someone got canned for that shit. My buddy actually worked for EA in Florida and said most of the sports games that get finished in the US are good, but since it was finished by a bunch of hosers it probably sucks Ehh.
