Can someone explain to the fascination with using Rapidshare?

I must be doing something wrong because I have never come across a site that suffers so many dead links and has so much downtime, the site seems to spend more time down than up

on top of which, I have never had a problem with megarotic

so what is it, is it just that people here already have accounts with Rapidshare or is there some other reason?

Am I the only one that finds Rapishare so annoying with its downtime??

From experience most ppl will have an account with them, i mean when you think about it you'll be saving a lot more money with downloading from RS.

i only had problems at rs once since im downloading there. i dont have the fastest netspeed but i normally can dl with max speed.

I can't say i've ever not been able to access Rapidshare. The site always is up when I need it. I get good speeds & can download a lot of stuff in a short time. If you're unable to access it, then it's most likely to do with your ISP.

Yes, there are problems with some links being deleted, but that's due in part to uploaders putting the full name of the clip/warez/whatever in the filename.

Im am a fan of rapidshare.

Reason is that all the files i search for are linked to rapidshare.
And the 3 times i have bought an account i was very pleased. Never downtime, always good speeds.

Perhaps you should search for better rescources for links. I've rarely come on a dead link.

hahaha Dead links are aplenty. But it segments downloads into manageable sections and you can't complain, it's a free service if you don't mind one download at a time. Better than buying the software/movies/music/porn you're downloading.

I only use rapidshare because I can find almost anything on there(if it's not a downed link) I'm not sure why they keep uploading on there though.

I think that the cost of rs is low compaired to the cost of buying music dvds a great advantage. I have never had a problem appart from firefox not remembering the passwords!

well having 90% of the stuff on this forum on rapidshare it think its usefull

its not expensive compared to letting your pc on for a few nights with torrents
