Regarding the fact that Alonso and Pedro De Larosa cheated with Ferrari data via emails.

Alonso: "Aaah. The Fia might know these mails exist. But at least we can beat Ferrari this way! Hehe."

Alonso: "Crap. Whats this? My email account has been closed. Aaargh."

It was massive news. Fernando and De La Rosa talking about Ferrari setups prove that they've used the data. This was the only clause in the FIA's statement that kept McLaren from receiving punishment. They've discussed Ferrari setups, they've used them.

In proving this, it also proves that others within McLaren knew about the data exchange for a long while. The drivers, the test drivers. It was concerning setups, therefore the mechanics that then implemented these setups for the drivers. Unless Ron is a complete retard, he knew about this happening. This was the missing piece of the puzzle.
