I have implemented a new system here at SS in order to weed out lurkers. The warning system is an automatic bot that will continually scan the SS database for users that it deems to be lurkers. Each time it detects a lurker, a warning PM will be issued to the account giving each detected lurker 5 days to begin participating in SS. If participation does not improve to a degree that the warning bot deems acceptable, it will automatically ban the user after the 5 day period. The user will then be banned for 7 days. Once the user is unbanned after the 7 day period, they must participate otherwise the warning bot will ban them permanently.
Should I be worried?
You should only be worried if you do not regularly contribute to SS.
What if I go on holiday therefore cannot participate?
The system deals with this scenario. If you have not been visiting SS, then the warning bot will assume you are on holiday / other circumstances and leave your account intact. However when you return, it would be wise to begin participating again as soon as possible, otherwise the warning bot will flag your account with a warning PM giving you 5 days to participate before your account is locked out.
My account has been caught by the bot multiple times, and I can no longer get into SS. What do I do?
The warning bot is quite friendly, it gives people second chances. Unfortuantely, if the Warning bot catches you not participating multiple times, your account will be permanently locked out. The only way to regain access to SS is to plead your case in the banned area.
This Warning bot scares me. I promise to change my ways, what do I do?
There are plently of ways to become active in SS. However spamming loads of "Thanks" replies will cause the real SS Moderators to ban your account.
To avoid being removed from the database, just participate... You can crack passes for people and post them here or post proxies etc. If your not confident in your abilities to crack passes there are many turorials here eg.

This will make it very easy for you to crack your very own passes... However if you are still uncomfortable with cracking passes you can thank the people who provide you with them nicely with well thought out replies. And also by participating in other areas, eg Off topic, security discussion, technology area etc
I don't want to participate. I'm too lazy. What can I do to avoid being caught by the Warning bot?
The only other way to get out of participating is by joining the Gold area. The warning bot skips over gold member accounts and will not lock them out (they already support the forum through donations to the SS server fund)
You can subscibe to gold through the following link:-

The moment the donation has gone through, the system will automatically set you up as a gold member and your account will be put in the Warning bots exception list (therefore the Warning bot will never bother you while you are a gold member).
When you join the gold area you will have access to 13 new areas. More details of what is in the gold area is here:-

I don't want to support the forum. I want to remain a Lurker and get free passes without doing anything in return!
Bye Bye
I have a question that is not answered in this FAQ who do I contact?
PM me on the following link:-

Hi fellas, Just let me reply to this bot. I might be new but I've posted quick a few helpful posts with in this forum and yet they have the bolls to call me a lurker! I don't like lurkers my-self!!
This is a kick in the teeth i must say, they will most likely turn around and say their excuse is, my post where placed before my account was properly registered.
i really had high hope for this forum, as i tho'rt it was quite high standard.
