Angry Windows XP drive letters problem - 10-09-2006, 05:02 PM

Hello, from about 1 month i have a strange problem with my Windows XP, i have 1 DVD Reader, 1 DVD Writer and 2 Virtual DVD (Alcohol+Daemon), for don't have problems i configure drive letters using windows console as:

V: Daemon
W: Alcohol
X: DVD Reader
Y: DVD Writer

from about 1 month i notice that the letters changes restoring original windows settings

D: DVD Reader
E: DVD Writer
F: Daemon
G: Alcohol

i try to make new changes from windows console, but when i reboot or shut down the pc the letters come back another time to original settings, what's wrong ?!?!?

Regards
Albert

Try it this way.

Login as the Administrator or as a Member of the Administrators Group. Right-click My Computer, Manage, Computer Management, Disk Management, right-click the drive, Change Drive Letter and Paths, Change, Assign the following drive letter, OK.

You may have to do them 1 at a time and reboot.
