Anyone know of a good AVI Cutter? -

I have peckjoin for joining them, but I need something to cut clips. I don't like converting them to mpg because it takes a while and it distorts the color. If anyone knows of a good one that isn't on a time trial or has restraints could you please post a link.
i think Virtual Dub is regarded as the best amature package for AVI manipulations. I use it and its pretty good and quite quick. I had it reccomended by a pro.
DivFix 1.07 for errors in AVI is usefull

I sense something; a presence I've not felt since...
Yea I tried virtualdub and does it have to re-encode the clipped file? Because after I delete the unwanted parts I try to save the remaining file and some process takes place. After the process the remaining file turns out larger then the original. I also, found the color gets distorted so I tried some of the filters and it turns the remaining clip into 4gb instead of like a 200mb file which is what it should be.

do it this way if you simply want to cut the file but if you want to make the file size smaller change the audio codec or video codec and fiddle around as some codecs use alot less size
