Here's the line up to the show I'm going to this weekend:

Dethklok
Technical death metal. The show is probably pretty well known, but I feel it may be overlooked that the music is actually good, fully-formed, accessible death metal. Not just loose riffs written for the show's soundtrack. Videos contain cartoon nudity and gore.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (symphonic death metal, sort of )

Mastodon
Progressive metal. I apologize as this may be pushing the "Filth line" of band notoriety. Or maybe it's just me that's tired of hearing about them. They still have had some decent stuff though.

High on Fire
Stoner/sludge/doom metal with harsh, Motorhead-esqe vocals. Easily may favorite of these four. If you enjoy slower, crushing doom also check out Matt Pike's previous band Sleep. And Asbestosdeath before that, if you're really digging it.

Converge
Hardcore, mathcore, metalcore, noisecore... I don't know. The kids are slapping "core" on everything nowadays and calling it a subgenre. My girlfriend says they're amazimg live, so I'm looking forward to it.

If it isn't loud you aren't really hearing it.

LMF is crazy to have so many people! Deth, you're third link for LMF-it's not really LMF. It's MP4. Read the comments

Nemhain: okay music, don't like singer's voice very much.

I like Kamelot
