Good image rippers/utility software? - 12-25-2002, 09:25 AM

Some websites I have visited have the webpages set up so that none of the images are stored in the temp internet folder. And when you try to right-click and do a 'save as', you get the same filename for each pic you try to save:
rightclick/save as on pic 1
reads: image.jpg
rightclick/save as on pic 2
reads: image.jpg
rightclick/save as on pic 3
reads: image.jpg
.
.
.
Is there a good image saver software that can overcome this? Where do I find it (if not at Tucows or Download.com)?

P.S.
These websites also have password protection.

Thx.

when your right click and save as, just change the file name ex. boobs1.jpg, boobs2.jpg, boobs3.jpb etc. good luck.

Thx, but doing it for 1000+ images makes the joints sore. I was semi-wrong. Gifs are stored in the file folder, but dragging them to another folder doesn't work too well. It renames them to image1, image2, etc but it duplicated the names for some of the pix.
Example (temp folder->New Folder):
image21->image1
image23->image2
image24->image4
image26->image2
image30->image4
Not sure what is happeing here.

I do have another question. What is everyone's favorite utility software (eg. Disk Doctor)? I am digging thru the net to try to find the best software to keep Win2k working OK. Seems that adding/removing software is creating problems for me sometimes. Thx.

Teleport pro is fantastic ... also for ripping movie files just the whole damn site if you like :-)

But .... don't leave it alone at night ... esp not when your bandwith is limited ....
