That depends.....

I usually go by the fact that if you wear your underpants over your pants then you are definitely gay. However the old Batman wore his the same way and Batman is definitely NOT gay.

So based on the fact that Batman is not gay, I say that Superman is not gay either. Also any guy who can leap tall buildings in a single bound and run faster than speeding bullets has my vote for manliness!

still, batman didnt have any special superpowers, its he's uniform that makes him so great, but superman has lots of power, better to fight in a leather jacket or so, smallville superman isnt gay! spandex superman should go oldschool

thank you schmeng. besides you can't use the spandex argument because wolverine wears spandex, yet he's not gay.
