How can you tell what processes you have running? I downloaded Ad-ware to clean up all those sneaky spyware programs and such. It tells me I have 40 - 46 running processes. First, is that high? Second, how do I find out what they are? When I do the ole Ctrl + Alt + Del and check the processes, it list about 40 things, but what the heck are they? I don't understand all the abbreviations. How do I figure out where they come from and what they are? Feeling utterly retarded....
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Look at the process name, do a search on ur comp for it, then you will know what it is... If you still dont know, then http://google.com is your friend
Garthon, go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] helped me quite a bit, you can shut stuff off at start up at the cmd line with msconfig, hope this helps
