Security, Firefox is a lot more secure than IE7 as you say, it's customizable, but that isn't it only feature, I like the fact it gives an attack site warning on bad sites, it has the noscript addon that blocks flash / Java until you authorize it, this means a far easier surfing ability as bad image hosts or sites with way too many banner ads are limited, thus reducing the risk of malware infections.

One in particular that I know for certain is a banner ad that if allowed sends a popup dialogue about antivirus, this popup then redirects to power antivirus 2009 or fake antivirus 2008 / 2009, both of which are malicious and can, in most cases, lead to reformatting the hdd.

It's a relatively known fact that flash and Java are / have been / being used to spread viruses, malware, spyware and adaware.

That's why I use Firefox.

Sadly IE is still widely used - about half of all internet users still have it.
It's good to see that the users here deviate from that norm - I just don't like IE. Certainly can't compete with all the Firefox addons - AdblockPlus being my favourite among then. Blocks all those annoying advertisements, pop-ups, some malicious code and known phishing/malware infected sites.

And since phil gave me the hint to use "noscript" it became even better

No script and AdBlock Plus are the first two addons i install after installing FF on any pc,these combined with the AVG safe search plugin help keep the bad guys at bay.

Whichever is faster for me at the time, which right now FF is. Though they seem to be getting bloated with the new FF 3 version.

If you are using IE, try out Mozilla Firefox, you will never come back to IE again ^^

Firefox is awesome.... I don't know anyone who uses I.E. anymore.

Opera is another good browser. It's not as customizable as FF, but it's a little faster.
