a while ago i was so annoyed, right clicking to get what i wanted on a website.
then i saw the light
a program that lets you download the full content of the website, so you can sit and watch the website offline, oh the surf speeds are just amazing then lol
oh the program is called offline explorer
you can get it here

Ehhh, Placing A Whole Website On Your HD.............
Because Your Didn't Want To Right Click, I Think Your Mean Right Clicking To Save Stuff......Wel There Are Mutch Better Ways, Than Taking The Whole Damn Site, Think You Will Run Of HD Space Fast.............But What Ever Gets You Off Dude....
the thing is if there is a website with a lot of stuff you want on..
then you just start download of full content of taht page
come back a bit later, and delete the stuff u dont want
for instance a website with pics,
you have them now nicely catogorized, you can see them as thumbnails in your browser, so i still think this is a great!!! program.
Originally posted by corleone would like to know wich better ways there are....
For Example, EveryBody Has (Should Have) A Download Manager, Most Of Them Have Browsers, Where You Can Fill In The Page, It Will Show You All Links On This Page, You Can Simple Select The Files You Want, And Start Downloading..........
But What I Said Before, You Should Do AnyThing You Think Is The Best Way.........
Flashget can download all the links on a page in 2 clicks. You can choose the extension of the downloaded files (like jpg or avi). Your method is a good one for a humongous HD and a kickass bandwith For the others, Flashget is free and works like a charm.
And there are programs that can make your pics look like a web page with thumbnails (ACDsee used to do that, don't know if it still does). It's a bit more harrassement like that but as I said, it's for the ones a little short on b/w and HD space
A Long Time Ago, When EveryBody Was Using Win95, There Was A Proggie Named WebZip It Could Strip A Whole WebSite, But You Could Choose Only To D/L The PictureFiles........
But That Was A Long Time Ago So I Don't Know If It Still Exist

you can do that with the program i mentioned, its not like you have to download the whole website, you can choose if you want videos\pictures\text and so on, and you have the choice of wich extensions you want, for instance, if you only want the jpeg pictures or only gif pictures...
and you can set a min and max size for the files you want to download,
so basicly, you just set it up for what you want and press start, and you set levels on how many subcatogories you want it to look in,
so the only thing you need is the main url, and then it will do the work for ya...

Capture only the information you want
WebZIP's powerful Task Editor gives you total control over what and how much of a Web site is downloaded. It lets you specify the file types, depth and scope of retrieval in addition to giving you powerful URL and location filters and allowing you scheduling your download for any time of the day.
Never tried it, but it sounds like a cool little proggie. Will look into this more. Thanx, Morgoth.
yeah, I use Offline Explorer for my downloading also.
Its convenient because I have a template set up that automatically just downloads all the updates pics, vids, and zips while avoiding thumbnails, tiny vids, and filetypes that I don't want (the HTML, website design graphics, etc).
Granted it doesn't necessarily have the acceleration of some products, but you can set it to download multiple files at the same time--which for JPGs works pretty much the same way.
Its spidering has produced some gems also--I've found quite a few backdoors by setting it loose on the free sides of pay sites that i didn't have passes to.
