anyone use this? I'm trying to cut clips i want for full movies. I got a .avi file which wouldn't load in VirtualDub, so I thought I'd encode it to mpg in Tmpegenc but when I do so, the video's color screws up frequently anyone have this problem and any1 have a solution to this?
Sorry - I can't help. I have had similar problems. Generally I find that if a clip won't work in VDub it won't work properly when recoded with TMPG either.
Use a fixer like DivFix..this should sort out the errors. Then try re-encoding it.
Always fix a copy NOT the origional.#
UPDATE
so iv'e been surfing round and there are loads of fixers. Some seem to work better than others so download em all and try em out. One i have found called video fixer from www.fixvideo.com seems to be OK but some functionality is disabled cos its a trial. I also can't find a crack for it. But it did fix one of my wmv files rather nicely. Hope this helps.

I sense something; a presence I've not felt since...
i use this proggy only for cutting mpg/mpeg files
but it doesnt work always so i need a good alternative...but i havent found any approximately good working (mpg)cut- prog like tmpgenc so far :/...any recommendations please
Actually I found what was the problem I guess different codec's get mixed in when you use VDUB and I had downloaded a AngelPotion Codec, and it screwed up VDUB altogether if your having similar problems you might have this codec on your system also, so try running the clip then see if it has a file name under the reason for screwing up then do a search for it and remove it if it's in an AngelPotion folder or if you think it's connected.
