BLACK OUT... for me - 08-15-2003, 09:11 PM

useing you guy's as a sounding board

22 hour's later and I just got our power Back,
Im Canada.southern Ont..
I can live with a black out,,but the problem i am haveing is,,,
my son Steven jr. he is only 2yrs. and has a sevre case of the Chicken Pock's right now,,his temp. yesterday was 104f.
I spent the night trying to bring it down,,with cold cloth's on his head
i had sucess,,,he is much better now!!! I had to turn on our AC.
so it's nice and cool in here now,,,but they are telling us it won't
stay on,,,we are have rolling black outs for the next few day's

so to all you other's out there in the dark,,im with you all the way

Best of luck to you - and your boy.

I was without power for 3 days last summer here in Oz when bushfires knocked out power infrastructure. Really makes you appreciate it when it's back up again.

Take good care of the kid, kiddie fevers can turn pretty nasty like it did for mine a couple of years ago, she's okay now, but it was a real scary time

Usually dude pox at that age is OK...so long as the temp stays lower than 106 he should be fine. Sometime conplications arise in the late stages of infection and especially as hes so young. Make sure the Doc is around to check him out if he gets any worse.

I hope he feels better an that everything turns out OK. Have alook at the link below for a bit of sound advice. Especially the baths.
