REGULAR PEANUT DIET BOOSTS HEART HEALTH.A new study suggests that eating peanuts regularly helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease without weight gain. This clears the misconception that peanuts are unhealthy because they are high in fat.Researchers at US Purdue University said peanuts are a rich source of monosaturated fatty acids, magnesium, vitamin E, folic acid, arginine, copper and fiber, all of which have cardiovascular disease risk-reducing properties. The researchers found that regular peanut consumption lowers triglyceride [a kind of bad fat] levels by as much as 24%. There was no significant change in body weight, despite adding 500 calories of peanuts a day for 8 weeks. So, members, what are you waiting for. Start munching peanuts like monkeys do and live a longer life.
