i never thought it was worth it since you could get an 80gb video for cheaper, but i saw one in person and there are pretty sweet, internet on an mp3 player is a little outrageous but nice.
I have that exact ipod and i'm completely satisfied with my purchase. As long as it enough space for you then i would recommend it. The internet is a nice addition as well as the youtube feature
it's up to what you want and the amount of money you want to spend. If you want to just listen to songs and that's it i would suggest a MP3 which would costs around 80 ~ 110$ for a 4gb or cheaper nowadays. If you want video, photos and etc and need alot of space would suggest the ipod vid but if you want the features that only the Ipod Touch has then you should get it, the decision is up to you.
Also think about Money-Wise if you have 250$ don't just spend it all =) save some money for other stuff and emergencies, The nano might be nice for just music and some other stuff.
it is probably one of the best ipods i've ever owned... you can sleep the screen while you listen to music... i workout about 3 hours a day and i can run my ipod for about 2 weeks without charging it... internet is also pretty badass in the airport and shit...
If it wouldn't be for being able to present my own videos (I'm an editor) I would get the 80 or 160 Gb classic model, but for me it will be the ipod touch. I'm gonne wait one more round to get a (cheaper?) 32 GB or 64 GB (if they release that one). Than I'm gonne for sure get me one. The extra warranty for another year might be worth the cost. They're pricy gadgets for the easiness of getting broken…
