quick question about these dumbells I bought -

I bought the Gold's Gym switch plate 100 dumbells. You can adjust how much weight you want via a knob. Does any one know how much weight is on each side? Because when I set on 30, it feels way more than 30. So is it 30 on each side totaling 60?
