omg there are way too many great games just to pick 5
battlefild 1942 + addons is the best game ever IMO
halo/halo 2 are the best console games out there
world of warcraft has my attention atm, but it hasn't been out long enough
grand theft auto series are great as well
rome total war is the best strategy game ever
