Run-flats are pointless. They're designed to run for only 40 or so miles once you have a flat. The problem is that the majority of flat tires occur without your noticing, at least until you actually see the tire is deflated. They're supposed to be designed for you to be able to drive the extra few miles to a tire shop or whatever. But that doesn't really make sense.
I say just avoid them. They're a dumb luxury feature.
